Bedtime Prayer: Healing My Inner Child

Tonight,
I open my heart
to welcome the quiet voice of the little one within me —
the one who once felt scared, unseen, or hurt.

I choose to see her through the eyes of compassion,
hold her gently to my chest with unconditional love,
and softly say,
“It’s okay now... I’m here with you.”

Every tear she once cried,
every word she never dared to speak,
every wound she silently carried —
may they now be cradled in the light of mercy and healing.

Tonight,
I give myself permission to release guilt, fear,
and all the heavy expectations I no longer need to carry.
May the child within me breathe freely,
play joyfully, and smile —
just as she always deserved to.

If she’s not ready yet,
she may stay silent, and that’s okay.
I will wait with patience and kindness,
never rushing, never forcing —
just being a true friend who never leaves.

And when the morning comes,
may I remember:
Loving my inner child
is the beginning of true healing.
