I recently read an article about Soft Skills, which are becoming increasingly important, and it prompted me to ask: What skills are truly in demand — the ones AI cannot replace?

After some reflection, I distilled the answer into these 10 essential skills:

  1. Deep Listening
  2. Empathy — genuinely caring for others without feeling superior
  3. Selective Reception and Application of Information to create the highest possible impact
  4. Self-Awareness and Mindful Recognition — the ability to detect phenomena occurring within oneself in order to make responsible decisions
  5. Synthesizing Ideas for Harmony — choosing actions that create the greatest mutual benefit for all parties
  6. Speaking Words of Love — using speech to help others relieve suffering
  7. Focused Concentration — the ability to focus intelligently on one thing until wisdom emerges, leading to creative problem-solving
  8. Rejoicing in Others' Success and learning from their achievements to apply to oneself
  9. Social Etiquette — knowing what to think, say, and do appropriately in various situations
  10. Self-Knowledge — understanding what one truly wants, in order to cooperate smoothly with others

An important follow-up question that often arises is:
What skills are uniquely human — what are the true defining factors of being human?

In truth, these qualities have long been embedded in philosophy and religion throughout human development. By studying these teachings, we may gain deeper insights into the essence of being human.
